How the height converter works

1. You enter a value. It can be split into feet and inches or a single number in inches, centimeters or meters.
2. Choose your unit. Pick the unit you’re starting with and the unit you’d like as the main result; the converter will show all four for context.
3. Hit “Calculate.” It first normalizes everything to inches—multiplying feet by 12 or dividing centimeters by 2.54—then converts to the other units.
